Youth Exchange: Russia - Japan, 2016

We're happy to share the news about the youth exchange! Our friends from Japan kindly invited us to their native cities in order to collect the information about the country, native speakers and their life style. Japan is always being a special country to Russians with its unique lifestyle and cultural values. Yoko Takagi and Tomoko Kurita are so helpful teachers who have already prepared a plan of events for our stay there! We also want to give a special thank to Yoshiko Fukui for her support with official papers. No doubt it'll be unforgetable adventure for both sides! We're so excited waiting for the date of meeting!

This year we're going to visit our good partners from the USA (NC, New Bern) again. Some of students have already become good friends! It's really a great opportunity for all the students as well as for the teachers to have an amazing experience of communication and global understanding!

We're happy to get a chance of meeting our friends from Epiphany School of Global Studies, New Bern, North Carolina. Our friendship started some years ago and we're still successfully collaborating with our partners from America. Epiphany School is a unique place with a spirit of peace, happiness and love. Russian students have already got a good experience of international collaborating being hosted in NB last year.

We're all so excited dreaming about our meeting with new friends. They've already sent us some letters and posters of friendship and with NY wishes. All Russian students have speacial journals where they'll write all the new info about India.

We're glad to share the information about the new invitation for our club! Our friends from India are willing to meet us and we've already discussed all the details of a new youth exchange. No doubt it'll be a good experience not just for students but for teachers too. Russian people used to perceive India as bright and musical fairy-tale. So we've got a chance of comparing our stereotypes with the reality))

We're all in the aiport waiting for the first flight to Moscow! The team is so happy! We've got not just lots of ideas and thoughts about our further collaboration, we'll also bring Russian sparkling eyes, hot hearts and our strong belief that Friendship will make the world better! 

An Experience of a life time.

Hi, everyone! It is a great privilege to be able to share with you my experiences so far, as a teacher of English in the Russian-British Institute of MGT., Chelyabinsk, Russia. It has been a great four weeks experience since I first arrived.

Hi, my name is Joel Kofi Antwi, from Ghana,West Africa. I am sure many of you may have already heard a little about me from my good friend, Olga. I am really glad to be a part of this life changing experience for both myself , students and teachers of RBIM.

My students got a chance of practising English with our friend from Ghana-Joel Kofi. We're going to discuss lots of topics together. Joel has already shared the information about the national flag, the place of the country on the map and some special traditions and customs of his native country.

We've already written about our American partners, from New Bern (North Carolina). Russian students have already hosted the team from Epiphany School of Global Studies and we've had a whale of time in June! The team of students from "OLE-club" is also invited to visit the USA, where Russian students will join the educational process and just spend time with their peers.

Today we hosted the group of our American friends! It was a nice evening with tea, pancakes and cookies where Russian and American students met first time and got acquainted with  each other. Some of our friends have already shared first emotions: ))))

Dear OLE family, today is the special day for us. We've met our partners and good friends from New Bern, North Carolina - Mary Carrol and Beckie.

These teachers are very positive and their strong wish of international collaboration let us sign an agreement between two schools: Gymnasia 23 and Epiphany School.
No doubt it's a great start of Global Friendship!

   The team of OLE-club students was invited to join the international youth exchange. Sixth graders will present their life ideas and share their feelings with American peers.
    Epiphany School  (New Bern, NC) is a special place where happiness, friendship, respect and tolerance live and make the school so hospitable.
    Gymnasia 23 (Chelyabinsk, Russia) will host American friends in June, 2013.
    So, no doubt it'll be a great start of an international friendship!

We met with principals of the Senior and the Elementary schools and discussed the possibility of youth exchanges. They both  were interested enough in our collaboration. Now we need just wait for the final decision of Salem educational department.
